READER'S THEATRE
What -- you may ask -- is Readers' Theatre? It's very simple...
Interested individuals meet, mingle and have lots of fun -- interested yet?
Any individual interested in the Theatre -- whether it be on stage or behind the scenes -- may participate. Our only requirement is you have to be willing to try to make the “theatre experience” more fun.
The ACT is proposing you come and meet with “like-minded” individuals and read a few plays (or maybe sections). What you actually do is assign and read the roles of selected works. (like you would in an audition).
Just think -- if you've always wanted to audition, but didn't have any experience -- participating in a Readers' Theatre might help you over those "first-time" jitters.
Or maybe you're interested in directing, but aren't confident enough to try a full play yet -- use the Readers' Theatre group as your guinea pigs!
As you can see -- Readers' Theatre can be many things! It depends on what you are searching for!
ACT is sponsoring the first Readers’ Theatre on Thursday, January 18 at 7 pm at the Artesia Arts Council Building - 510 W. Main. (More dates below ...)
Come -- experience the fun and excitement of ACTing.
